I realized it had been almost a week since I had written a new post. The past week has been pretty crazy. I’ll get to showing you what I’ve been doing in just a sec.
First of all, I want to thank everyone that commented and read my last post on being a sorority alumna. I had more views on that post (as in like 300% more) than any of my others and I truly appreciate everyone’s comments! It’s so good to know that I’m not the only one feeling that way.
I urge you to share that post with anyone that you think might benefit from it: friends, family, sisters, your chapters. It’s a topic very close to my heart and you have no idea how much your support means to me!
Next, I wanted to put something out there that I’ve been thinking about for quite a while. Taking the lead of two other bloggers that I admire, Kate and Faison, I’ve developed a sponsorship program. That’s right…
The Observant Turtle is accepting sponsors!!
Here’s how it’s going to work:
Currently, sponsorship for The Observant Turtle is going to be free of charge. This may change later on, but as this is in the very early stages, I just want to see how it goes. Each month, I’ll take 5 sponsors (Etsy stores or blogs) and do a feature post on each of them. I’ll include your button, important links, a blurb about you, and whatever else you want to share!
This will start for May, as that’s when I’ll be debuting a new blog layout, thanks to Katelyn Brooke Designs.
If you’re interested in being a sponsor for May, please contact me at email@example.com.
Alright, now that that’s all sorted…
here’s what I’ve been up to, in pictures:
Work, work, work!
Here’s my desk, complete with a picture of my hubby, my Red Stamp calendar, and bottled water. (Plus, who really ever uses white-out anymore? I do. Because I love office supplies.)
I have a serious sweet tooth and on hot days, a milkshake is perfect! I had to stop and get a Banana Pudding Milkshake from Chick-Fil-A.
(Seriously, if you haven’t had one of these, you are missing out!)
After being told in March that I look like I belong in Twilight, I decided that I was going to get a nice little glow on me as soon as I could. It’s also helped me catch up on reading (and of course it’s a Jen Lancaster book.)
I saw the Braves play the Astros last week and it was so much fun! I haven’t been to a professional baseball game since 2006 and I’m so glad that I could share it with my hubby. There were so many more Braves fans in Houston than I thought.
(Even though I didn’t get to see Chipper play since he was still on the injured list and we lost to the Astros 8-3)
Ignore my awkward face in this picture. Isn’t this the cutest pup you’ve ever seen?? I fell in love with her and her sister when I went to a happy hour with a bunch of Houston bloggers! We had such a good time chatting and bonding. I also spent the whole day with Faison, my bestest blog friend, shopping, talking, eating, and laughing. We went to the Houston outlets and got our nails done.
(Did I mention it was the first pedicure that I’ve ever gotten? Sad, I know.)
(You’d think being bloggers we would take more pictures but we were having so much fun that we just forgot!)
What have you been up to recently?
