Weekend Update

August 13, 2012

I have had a serious case of writer’s block recently. It’s not that I have been sitting around doing nothing, but I just haven’t been able to put it into words!

This weekend was a busy one! On Saturday, I met up with Sarah and Bri. We had lunch at my favorite place in Houston called Barnabys. Then (after trying to find a parking spot for 30 minutes) we went shopping at the Galleria, a huge mall in Houston. My feet were hurting so bad in my wedges that I gave in and bought some sandals! I even scored a deal on some pants: buy one get one free. Holla!

Sunday was the monthly H-Town Blogger Hotties meet up! It was great to see all of the girls, both old and new faces.

(I love this picture of me and Meg!)
(I’m hardly ever serious. Me and Cait)
I also scored some pretty awesome deals at Marshall’s last night, but I’ll have to get someone to take a picture of my outfit!

As an entry for the birthday giveaway, some of you asked questions! Here they are….

What’s your favorite nonalcoholic and alcoholic beverages?! (KrystalI am a Coke addict. Coca-Cola, that is, kids. (Get your mind out of the gutter!) I absolutely love it. (Also, Diet Coke is NASTY. I don’t understand the obsession with it.)  But I also love sweet tea. What southern girl doesn’t?! Believe it or not, I actually don’t like alcohol all that much. I know, shocking. If I absolutely had to choose one though, I’d say a margarita.

What is your favorite TV show and movie?  (AmberIt’s so hard to pick just one! I love How I Met Your Mother. I watch it basically every single day. I love all of the Harry Potter movies, but if I had to choose just one movie, I’d say My Fair Lady.

What is your favorite thing about blogging? (VeronicaEven though I love the fact that blogging is a creative outlet for me, my favorite part has to be meeting new people. Like I’ve mentioned before, I started blogging to find friends in Houston! That was definitely something I was able to do, and now I can’t imagine my life without them!

What’s your favorite birthday memory? (TaniaMy Sweet 16 party was so much fun! We had it at the local Shrine Club and had Moe’s catering (yes, we had burritos, don’t judge) and just danced and had a blast.

I like when people blog about where they live and/or something fun to do in the area they live.  (JodiWell, being fairly new to the area myself, I don’t know if I can offer up too much on this topic! So I’m going to turn this question to y’all:  What’s something fun that you’ve done in Houston?
