This weekend was pretty laid back for us! I had plans to go hang out with some fellow Delta Zeta alum on Friday night, but I made a really dumb mistake, took too long to get ready, and ended up not going.
It ended up working out though, since I got to watch the opening ceremony of the Olympics and tweet along with everyone else! I won’t bore you will all of my tweets, but most of them included me hassling Meredith and Matt about their horrible commentary and squealing over all things British (I’m an Anglophile… #sorrynotsorry.) (I was also freaking out about the fact that I will probably have a kid by the next summer Olympics…. creepy.)
Saturday morning was a marathon of Saved by the Bell and Boy Meets World as always. Then I got dressed and decided to go on a search for interior decoration inspiration!
On my way out of the neighborhood, I checked the mail and what did I find but my first piece of my new collection! (If you missed it, I’ve decided to start collecting college t-shirts! So send me yours! =P) Danielle from Sweet Southern Girl sent me a tee from her alma mater and I have to admit, I’ve worn it all day! Thanks sweet girl!
I hit up the local Goodwill and found a pretty neat set of 3 chests of drawers for $199! Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get a picture since I was getting some pretty weird looks from the employees…
I also went to a store called StillGoode in Spring. It’s a furniture consignment store and they had tons of really neat pieces! They actually had our bed there! I called my hubby… this was our conversation…
Me: “They’re selling our bed here!”
Nick: “See? And you said it wasn’t nice!”
Me: “I never said it wasn’t nice. I said it was ugly…which it is.”
My favorite was this funky chair ($250).
