Over the past few weeks, or ever since I read Betsy’s post on blogging success, I really thought about what it meant for me. The thoughts of “wow, I haven’t posted in a while. I really need to do that…” ran rampant through my head. But I kept telling myself, I don’t want to just write a post for the hell of it. I want to have something to say that I’m passionate about. I found myself being completely at a loss when it came to writing posts. I had nothing to say and had no motivation to write it. That is, until I found myself making a list of posts that all shared a common theme.
The Observant Turtle has been my home online for two years now. I’ve shared with you some of my deepest thoughts and you all have been right there alongside to support and lift me up. The friends that I’ve made through blogging have been amazing, and I’m not about to give that up!
I’ve partnered up with a good friend of mine to give The Observant Turtle a redesign. It will have a new look, new direction, and I’ll (hopefully) post way more regularly. Until then, I’ll be hanging a little low. I’ll still be reading your blogs and commenting along. (Leave your blog link in a comment below so that I can be sure I’m following along!)
I titled this post “The End of the Beginning” because I’m turning a new leaf. These first two years have been a wonderful learning experience. I’ve gone to three blogging conferences and taken in about all I can. Now it’s time to take all that I’ve learned and truly apply it in a way that I’m comfortable with.
I hope you all stick around to see what’s to come… because I’m pretty darn excited. It’s going to be awesome.
