That Time I Went Missing

July 8, 2013

Hello lovelies! Long time, no see, huh? Last week was kind of a rollercoaster so I apologize for leaving you high and dry for so long!

Let’s backtrack to the last time we talked: we had just purchased a bed and I was looking for your design help! Thanks to everyone that offered suggestions! We really appreciate the help.

The following Saturday, I met up with Stephanie, Michelle and Baby Apple and Meg and Kennedy for brunch! We went to Grand Lux in the Galleria area and had some pretty great (and inexpensive!) brunch. It was so nice to catch up with these ladies and especially fun to play with the little ones!

But last week was a pretty rough one. My boss, who battled cancer for almost a year, passed away on Tuesday. It’s still hard to believe that she’s gone. She was such a beautiful person on the inside and out and I only wish that I had the opportunity to get to know her more before she left us. We had her funeral service at our venue on Friday morning and had the rest of the day off.

Also last Tuesday I said “see you later” to Lindsay, who is moving to Knoxville in just a couple of days! She and I have gotten so close and it’s hard to see her go but thankfully she is only a few hours from my parents house so I have already started making plans to see her at Thanksgiving!

please excuse how rough I look, it had been a hard day.

In between the sadness of last week, we also had lots to do at our for our Star-Spangled Salute on July 3 and attended a baby shower. The weekend ended on a high note though, because I got to finally meet Elisabeth!! We’ve been blog friends for a little over a year now and I was so glad that we could hang out and have girl time together. We enjoyed the pool, went shopping, took photos and talked for hours. It was so great! Unfortunately I only took 2 photos from the trip on my phone because we were having such a great time! You’ll see more soon, I promise.

I’ve also been awful at reading blogs lately, so tell me what’s been going on in your life!
