That Time I Styled Our Cabinets

July 29, 2013

I mentioned last week that while my mom was here I enlisted her help for some interior decorating. Somehow I didn’t inherit that gene and I’m pretty awful when it comes to decorating a home. Thankfully I knew that my mom would be able to help and help she definitely did.

We spent most of our time at Hobby Lobby picking up pieces from random aisles. (Did I mention that we hit the jackpot in the clearance section? Yes, Hobby Lobby has a clearance section. Mind BLOWN.) But I also incorporated a other few pieces that I already had into the decoration, from Kirkland’s, Target and Sweet Tea Paperie.

Somehow, I came up with this awesome color scheme of light blue, green, and pink. How that came about… I have no idea. I found the prints on Pinterest and that definitely helped with the decision. The pink and white lanterns and pink/white candle on the bottom shelf all came from the clearance section of Target about a year ago.

(honestly one of my favorite parts of the room… it’s a dry erase board with a giraffe on it! it also has this really pretty chevron but you can’t see it in this pic)

Honestly the photos just don’t do it justice. I wish I could show you all in person just how pretty it looks! Thank you so much, Mommy, for your help! I know I told you a million times but there is no way that I could have done this without your help.
Have you ever ‘styled’ your cabinets before? What do you have on top of your cabinets?
