I don’t usually engage in Throwback Thursdays on the blog, but after reading The Reedy Review, I can’t help but share something with all of you.
In case you didn’t know, I live in (er… close to) Houston now but grew up in South Carolina. When I was a freshman in high school I discovered the downtown area of Greenville and y’all, I fell in love. It was only about twenty minutes away from home and felt like another world.
A main street lined with trees and quirky shops. There was even a bookstore with a resident cat in it. Vintage shops, yummy restaurants, and the park. Oh, Falls Park. Many memories were made there throughout the years.
The area has changed so much throughout the years. Most of the places that I loved closed down, but more upscale and adult-like placed opened instead. In fact, it’s almost like the area aged along with me. Heck, we almost got married there. It’s such a gorgeous place.
I apologize in advance: most of these pictures were taken with a less than professional camera sometime between 2007-2008.

Have you ever been to Greenville, SC? What are your favorite places that are somewhat unknown?
