Hi everyone! I hope you all had an amazing Christmas. I decided to take a small hiatus over the holidays so that I could spend time with my family.
I was very blessed with wonderful gifts, including a new TOMS, a Snuggie, Kate Spade perfume, a camcorder and much more! Did any of you get anything special from Santa?
Choosing only two songs to highlight for today’s Ten Day Challenge is an extremely difficult challenge because I love music so much and narrowing it down is so hard! I decided just to choose two songs that I am currently enjoying.
2. “A Lover Like You” by the Avett Brothers
I discovered the Avett Brothers (via my sister, who always finds the best music) in the summer of 2009. Since then, I’ve fallen in love. I was lucky enough to have seen them perform in October 2010 at the SC State Fair and I’m hoping to see them again very soon… *cough*NewYear’sEve*cough*….
I hope this video does them justice.
1. “Sink/Let it Sway” by Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin
When I was in the eleventh grade, my best friend Caroline and I went to see a band called Harry and the Potters at the headquarters library in Spartanburg, SC. Opening for them was Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin… minus one member, who was at his grandfather’s funeral. We were still so impressed with the band that we purchased their album and I followed them ever since. They hadn’t returned to the area until this past October, when Caroline and I saw them in Charlotte, NC. They are so easy to listen to, and extremely nice guys!
Is there anything that you can’t stop listening to at the moment? Please share! I love discovering new music.
