A Pretty Big Milestone and Some Random Thoughts

May 17, 2012

In case you didn’t see my crazy tweets yesterday, I ran a spontaneous giveaway! (Which is why you need to FOLLOW ME on Twitter!!) I had 99 followers and my OCD self wanted that even 100. One follower. That’s all I needed to hit that milestone.

I guess the first piece of exciting news is…

That’s triple digits, y’all!
BUT…. come to find out when I sign onto my Blogger dashboard, I’ve gained many more than the original goal of 100 over the past 18 hours thanks to the retweets by many lovely ladies (you know who you are!) and the spotlight yesterday on H-Town Blogger Hotties.
I really just wanted to take the time to thank all of you who have stuck with me throughout the past 6 months. Blogging is something that I have always loved doing and I’m so happy that there are people out there who actually read what I have to say! To those of you who have joined me more recently, WELCOME! I hope you’ll enjoy this crazy world of mine.
Like I said in my last post, with starting my new job I haven’t had nearly the amount of time I had before for blogging. This makes for a very sad Whitney! I still read blogs, but I haven’t been a good about writing posts for my own blog.

Here’s some of my random thoughts from past few weeks:

Learning the strength (and amount of sleep) required to work a 40-hour week. (It’s not as miserable as I thought, but I still go to bed at like 10 every night…)

Luby’s is amazing. (my tastebuds loved it, my tummy did not…)

I watch WAY TOO MUCH television. American Idol, How I Met Your Mother, Gossip Girl, The Voice, America’s Next Top Model, GCB, Friends…. the list goes on.

Since I’m not home for 11 hours in the day, I’ve starting cherishing my time with Susie a lot more.

The hubs and I watched two movies this past weekend… both made in the 1960’s. This is CRAZY for me because I usually fall asleep to older movies. But I have to say, The Planet of the Apes was not AT ALL what I thought it was going to be. It starts slow, but gets really really good!

I’ve rediscovered that my passion truly is social media.

EEEEEEEEE, I won a giveaway at A. Liz Adventures! A beautiful infinity scarf by Katie Fobes Design.

Most importantly: Being a blogger doesn’t mean being fake or liking everyone around you, but you should never use your power for evil. Twitter is not the place for intimidation. I lose all respect for people who act like blogging is high school.  /end rant

Until next time….

(I feel like I should sign this Fierce and Love, Tyra… ANTM anyone? anyone? does anyone watch that show any more other than me??)
