I promised to share some things from before I started blogging, so I wanted to show you all our engagement photos and share some tips for your shoot!
The most important thing that I learned throughout all of wedding planning is this: most things are not worth stressing over. This especially applies when planning your engagement shoot.
1. Don’t spend hours upon hours stressing out over what to wear. Think about your favorite outfits at the time of the shoot. Are they very trendy or something that would be considered “classic”? Be mindful of prints and how they might turn out on camera, but just go with what makes you feel most comfortable! The more comfortable you are, the better you will look and feel.
2. Hire a photographer that fits your personalities. Check out their previous work. If you can see yourselves doing similar poses and the style is what you’re looking for, ask to meet the photographer. He or she would definitely be willing to meet you and see if you fit!
3. Don’t be nervous! Sure, it will be a little awkward at first, but eventually you won’t even notice the photographer there. Just enjoy the time with your honey. Have fun!
4. Get candid shots. Some of the best shots are sometimes not posed at all. The photographer would hopefully catch these moments, like ours did. You rocked, Kim!
