Nick and I have lived in Texas for a little over two years now and one of the hardest parts for us has been being away from our family and friends. Finally, this weekend we were able to play hosts to some familiar faces from back home. It was so fun to show them around our little part of Texas! I know they loved getting away from the snowy East Coast and into our 70-degree weather. The theme of the weekend was definitely food. We ate so much, I’m really paying for it today!
We cooked our own Valentine’s Day dinner on Friday night, and it was definitely on par with a fancy restaurant! We had delicious steaks, mashed potatoes and parsnips, and this yummy salad (I’ll share the recipe later this week!)
Saturday we had brunch at Hubbell & Hudson in The Woodlands and walked around Market Street. We enjoyed the amazing weather on the patio at Bar Louie before getting ready for our dinner at The Pass & Provisions in Houston. The dinner is meant to be shared, so we tried quite a few dishes. My favorites were the Caesar Wedge Salad, Fried Chicken Ballotine, and the Cider Donut dessert. Definitely recommend checking it out! (We had everything listed below plus two pastas… but we ate them before we got pictures. Oops!)
