Exactly a year ago today, I was living the most amazing day of my life: my wedding day.
If you’re reading this at 8 a.m., by this time a year ago I had already been up for an hour and a half because I just couldn’t sleep any more.
Is it 10 a.m.? At this time a year ago, I was getting my makeup done. 11 a.m.? My hair.
If it’s 1 p.m., I was putting on my dress exactly a year ago today.
2 p.m.? Taking pictures with my beautiful bridal party. 3 p.m.? My nerves started to get to me at this moment a year ago today.
At 4:15 p.m. a year ago today, I walked down that aisle with my father, holding him tighter than ever. Nick’s face is one that I will never forget.
If it’s 4:45 p.m. and you’re reading this, we have officially been married for one year.
Nick, I honestly cannot believe that it’s been one year. It seems like our first year was harder than most, since we spent 40% of it a thousand miles away from each other. I don’t want to repeat everything I said in the card this morning, but just know: I love you. I’d marry you all over again.
