I’m usually one to be a bit of a hipster when it comes to discovering new music artists a few months or weeks before everyone else. But this time? I’m pulling the hipster card on one of the post popular trends this fall: ponte pants.
I’ve talked about them before on the blog back in Feb. 2012 and purchased my first pair in January-ish 2011. At the time, they were a mere $13 investment on the Target clearance rack that ended up sitting in my closet for close to 8 months. Then, a good friend of mine found them while perusing my closet and berated me for not taking full advantage of their comfort and style. She showed me just how to style them and voila! My obsession had begun.
Now, you can find these almost everywhere. Target, Kohl’s and J. Crew are just a few of my regular haunts where I’ve seen these things. I know what you’re thinking… what in the world is a ponte pant? It’s a firm, yet stretchy fabric that’s double-knitted during production. Fancy talk just to say: they’re leggings that can pass as pants. Need I say more?
