Follow Friday: My Daily Reads (#blogeverydayinSept)

September 26, 2014

In my three years of blogging, my favorite part by far has been the community that I’ve found. I’ve gone to a few blogging conferences and made many friends, both local and far away. Some of the women I’ve met I communicate with on a daily basis, whether it’s commenting on their blogs or interacting with them via text message or G-chat.

While I might not be great at keeping up with my blog reader every day, there are at least a few blogs that I read almost every day. I look forward to sitting down and reading their posts each day, seeing what they have shared with me and the rest of their readers. So, in honor of “Follow Friday” (remember when that was a thing?) here are six blogs* that you need to follow:

1. Betsy Transatlantically
I started reading Betsy’s blog in April 2012 and shortly afterwards, she got engaged to her incredibly dashing British boyfriend. Since then, she has moved back to the US from London, survived a long-distance engagement AND marriage and was recently reunited with her husband as he moved to the US just last week! I’ve also had the pleasure of meeting Betsy in person and I can tell you that what you see on her blog is exactly what she’s like in person: incredibly intelligent, sweet and all around amazing! She’s also one of the best writers I’ve ever encountered.

2. I Love You More Than Carrots
I also had the pleasure of meeting AP back at Blissdom last year and it felt like I was meeting an old friend. I’ve been reading her blog for about two years, back when she was just a mother of two. I honestly hope that when I have kids I am as cool as AP. She’s freaking hilarious and an amazing writer. Even as someone who doesn’t have kids yet, I love reading about her adventures with her three boys.

3. A. Liz Adventures
Another blog I’ve been reading for about two years, April’s blog is another that I read almost every day. Not only does she have one of the most beautiful little baby girl’s that I’ve ever seen, I’ve made so many recipes from her blog and they have all turned out to be delicious (including fried fish tacos, shrimp and white bean enchiladas and more). She lives in Charlotte so I love seeing her adventures in my old stomping grounds!

4. The Reedy Review
It’s pretty funny to me that I have a set of sisters on my list! Laura is April’s little sister and she lives in the town I grew up in. Since I haven’t lived there since I was 18, I love seeing Greenville through an adult’s eyes. She gives me lots of great tips on where to shop and eat when I visit home! She’s also participating in Whole 30 right now and I’m totally following along.

5. Meg O. on the Go
I’ve professed my love for Meg O. on this blog time and time again. This lady has taught me everything I know about makeup, and I’m so honored to call her a friend! She has two adorable little girls who I can’t get enough of.

6. Everyday Meg
The thing I love most about Meg Cady is her ability to pull off an absolutely fabulous outfit without breaking the bank. As a teacher, her outfits are usually office friendly, which I love. Plus, she’s my “official photographer” so she’s pretty much amazing. Her anti-tutorials are my favorite!

*I couldn’t pick just five! Sorry, I didn’t even follow my own rules. Oops.
