Devil with a Blue Dress On

Dress: 9th and Elm (c/o)  Shoes: Kohl's   Necklace: Meg's (oops!)
Watch: Fossil    Earrings: Kohl's

Even though I don't consider myself a "girly girl," I basically live in dresses during the summer. This Texas summer is way too hot and humid to even pretend to put on pants when there's light out (and most of the time even when it's nighttime.)

While the dress might be a little too risqué for my office (without a cardigan or jean jacket that is!) it's perfect for a summer night out. I'll definitely be wearing it when Nick and I check out the Houston Symphony downtown this weekend.

I recently discovered 9th and Elm, a site for independent designers and handmade items. I subscribe to probably three or four (or fifty) flash sale site emails a day, but this is the only one I open every single day. That's where I scored this adorable little blue number and pretty sure I'm about to scoop up this badass tank.

I never really intended for this blog to turn into a fashion blog, but somewhere along the line I figured out that I love to dress up and make funny faces in the camera. What can I say? I promise we'll get back to the long winded posts soon (including a pretty awesome one including some words from the hubby about something we've been working on for THREE years!) but for now, I'm embracing the girly girl side. And indulging myself just a little...

What plans do you have for this weekend? (P.S. Carolina, I'm headed your way a week from today!!)

The dress is cute, but it looks AMAZING paired with that coral necklace.

you look FAB! and I'm with Belle - I love how you paired the edgier necklace with the sweet bow of the dress. LOVE IT.
