Well, I did it again, guys. I missed my second blog anniversary. Just like I missed my first blog anniversary last year.
My first post was on August 13, 2011, and it was all about what I wanted this blog to be based on. I talked about how I wanted to feature posts about Southern life because I just wasn't a fashion expert or professional chef. Well, I wouldn't say that I'm exactly either of those, but blogging sure has brought me pretty darn close.
When I moved to Texas, I had an entire kitchen full of new appliances and utensils just begging to be used. While I was searching for my first out-of-college job and during my time as a part-time PR assistant, I was able to perfect my cooking skills. Food Network became a favorite of mine (because I hadn't had cable in about 4 years) and I dove into attempting all sorts of recipes from Pinterest (which I quickly realized was NOT budget friendly.)
Moving to a big city really influenced my fashion choices too. In college I tried to spruce things up a bit when it came to my wardrobe, but I really just lived in jeans and sorority shirts. Hanging out with such fashionable ladies like Meg and Lindsay made me really step up my game and in a big way. I don't know that I'd ever have been so daring if it weren't for blogging. I also don't think I would be as used to getting my photo take a million times over if it weren't for blogging...
Over these last two years, I've written so many posts that I've loved and posts that you've loved too. Here are just a few of the favorites:
