Yesterday, Nick and I celebrated our 5 year-a-versary. We call it that since it's not technically our "anniversary" anymore since we're married, but as of yesterday, we've been a couple for five years. It's so weird to me. It feels like we've only just begun, but also feels like we've been together forever. It's so crazy to think that we've been together for over a fifth of my life.
Five years ago yesterday, Nick asked me to be his girlfriend while we were hugging in my friend's dorm room. My heart still flutters when I think about that moment.
We ended up celebrating the day by going to Rodeo Houston to see Bruno Mars! Other than the awful traffic and food inside the arena, we had a blast. He's such an amazing performer. I'd love to see him again in August.
When he sang "Just the Way You Are," Nick turned to me and started singing the acapella parts from Pitch Perfect. NOT. KIDDING. Yes, I know I have the best husband ever.

Aww what a fun celebration! I definitely still want to recognize my "year-a-versary" even after I'm married. I feel like I've been celebrating Sept. 3 for so long, it will feel weird to stop even if I have a "real" anniversary to celebrate. (Assuming I marry Jonathan, that is!)
