That Time I Saw It. Pinned it. Did it. - Brownie Batter Dip

I'm so happy to be able to link up once again with Katie and Stephanie for SPD! It's such a neat link up and I love seeing all of these great pins come to life.
I'm not much of a Pinterest person, but when it comes to food, it's one of the first places I go for ideas. Like I mentioned on Tuesday, our Houston blogger group had a meetup and it was a Pinterest themed party. I needed a Pinterest-inspired dish to bring for everyone to enjoy!

Initially inspired by a good mutual friend of my husband's, I found a pin of this amazing Brownie Batter Dip and knew that I had to share it with the bloggers!

Mine obviously did not come out as pretty as this one did, but it tasted absolutely delicious!

It seemed to be a pretty big hit with all the bloggers at the party, and the hubby loved it too! I especially loved it with the animal crackers.

Ingredients:
8 ounces cream cheese, light or regular, softened to room temperature
1/4 cup (4 tablespoons) butter, softened to room temperature
2 cups powdered sugar
5 tablespoons all-purpose flour
5 tablespoons cocoa powder
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2-4 tablespoons milk
Chocolate chips for garnish (optional)

Directions:
In a large bowl with a handheld electric mixer or in the bowl of an electric stand mixer, whip together the cream cheese and butter until light and fluffy, 1-2 minutes. Add 2 cups of the powdered sugar. Mix well. Add the flour, cocoa powder, brown sugar, vanilla and 2 tablespoons milk. Mix until fluffy and smooth. Add additional powdered sugar and/or milk, if needed, until desired consistency is reached. Garnish with chocolate chips, if desired.

That sounds amazing. I'm definitely guilty of licking the spoon (er, ok, and maybe the bowl too) when I make brownies, so this will be great. :)
