Saw It. Pinned It. Did it. - Taco Ring

I was finally able to link up with Stephanie and Katie again this week! I have to admit though, I accidentally fell into doing a "Pinterest project" last night. I planned our dinner for the week and added a taco ring to the mix. Nick isn't the biggest fan of crescent rolls, but I absolutely love them. I thought that he might like the mixture of taco meat and cheese inside!

Here's the original pin:

Here's what I came up with:

I deviated just a little bit from the original recipe:

- I added onion to the ground beef when I was browning it.
- Instead of topping it with cheese, I mixed it into the beef in the pan.
- I make my own taco seasoning! See the mixture that I use here.

Overall, I loved it! Unfortunately Nick wasn't as big of a fan. I think this may be more of an appetizer than an entree. Either way, with a little sour cream, it was delicious!

Have you done any neat Pinterest projects lately?

Ohhh. This looks soo good!

I did something similar once, but instead of tacos it was pulled bbq chicken! I forgot all about that until you posted this so I may have to try it again - only the taco way :)

My friend makes this all the time! She calls it Taco Goodness. Being a veggie, I've never tried it, but it's what she makes for all her other friends. They put barbecue sauce on it? Sounds weird but they insist it's the way to go.

Back in my Pampered Chef days, we called this the "taco ring." It remains a family favorite, even with children. When serving at parties, you might also include halved bell peppers in the middle of the ring, filled with sour cream, salsa, and lettuce. Yum-O!
