Yesterday I attended the Houston Blogger Symposium. I won't spoil it for you just yet as we're all linking up on Thursday to share our experiences, but do know this: things are going to be changing around here.
I've lost myself somehow, amongst all of the sponsorships and follower counts and giveaways. All of those things are great in moderation, but yesterday was truly a reality check.
In all honesty, I really discovered the blogging world through the wonder of preppy blogs and tried to emulate that. But guess what? That's not really me. So we're getting back to the roots.
There are a few really awesome guest posts lined up for the next week. Show the girls some love and let me get my head in the right place. I've gotta get this blog thing organized.
I can't wait to share with you all what's to come. I hope you'll stick with me all along the way!

I say it is all about me! I blog for me and I blog a little bit of everything.
oh my goodness - I always get into knots trying to answer that question! "well, it started as an expat blog... but then it turned into just a blog about things i like... but with an expat edge... and..." ugh! you're so right to ask that question - I think ALL bloggers need to ask themselves that constantly to keep us focused.
can't wait to read when you come back! have always loved your content, so can only imagine how YOU it will be once you like where your head is better :)

Hey babe! I know how you feel - I have found blogging is a journey to finding oneself. It reminds me of high school actually. You do all this stuff to get popular, then when you're popular you're like, OK but does anyone really know who I really am? I hope you find a good balance soon! I'm still struggling- so you're not alone! I know my content sucks lately, but it's important for me not to force it either.
Oh, and I need to work on my 30-second blog commercial. I usually blubber something about "oh yeah, it's just about me... my life... some stuff about design... yeah..." lol
